” Well situated cottage – convenient for walking and visiting Chatsworth, Ladybower etc. Comfortable beds and living space. In centre of village and near church so a little noisy but okay if window closed. Close to Spa shop, pubs and coffee shops. Enjoyed meals up the road at The Cheshire Cheese Inn and at the Old Hall Hotel. “

” Ideal location in a very pretty village with plenty of amenities, pubs, cafes and a late night supermarket. Short drive to Castleton or a 25 minute walk via the footpaths along the roadside. Cottage was spacious and very clean, with a lovely kitchen and enough equipment to cook a meal. “

” A spacious, well equipped and immaculate cottage in the lovely village of Hope with its great facilities. Next door is the pub where an excellent steak and ale pie is served and on the other side a cyclist’s cafe. The surrounding peaks have some very demanding mountain biking tracks and excellent walks. Most recommended! “

” Clean, cosy and cute cottage with a loads of space for walking boots, coats, etc. Plentiful supply of wood and coal, and well equipped kitchen. Superb location, next door to cafe and pub, with an excellent farm shop opposite. All in all, absolutely lovely! “
” Helen’s cottage was perfect for us. The location was amazing, we could get to great walks and sights very easily – including a walk up to Mam Tor and also a drive to Chatsworth House (which is incredible and worthy of a full day visit btw). There were three of us so we had a huge room each and we all slept so well in the ultra-comfy beds. Also the lovely fluffy towels, well appointed kitchen and atmospheric fire really added. “

” A recently modernised house which would suit families and couples. Good sized bedrooms and two bathrooms. In a great location as you can go hill walking, mountain bike riding and road cycling straight from the front door. The New Hall Hotel next door does great food and beers, also the other side of the house is a great cafe selling really good tasty fresh food. Other shops like the spar, curry house, another pub and other cafes are within 50 metres. A great central spot to stay in the peaks, we would use it again. “
” We had a great stay in Hope, the cottage is smartly presented and a great location. Helen was really accommodating and quickly responded to any questions we had. We stayed with our toddler and it was great. The Curry Cabin take away was yummy, just round the corner. “
